Come Ride with Pedal and Roll

Monday, May 1st, 9am:  a ride for independent bikers!  Liz is planning to ride from the Hopkins Depot Coffee House to Rustica (formerly Dunn Brothers) in the historic Smith-Douglas-More House in Eden Prairie.  Departure is promptly at 9am, returning no later than 11am.  This path is mostly limestone and approximately 16 miles roundtrip.  There are a few road crossings where we will stop, look, and listen before crossing.  Check our Facebook page at 8am Monday morning in case weather is unsuitable for biking.

Wednesday, April 26th, 9am: a ride for independent riders who have their own bikes.  Meet at Lilac Park entrance, off the cul-de-sac by Nordic Ware.  We will ride 12 miles round trip, to the Peoples Organic on Minnetonka Blvd.  Halfway point is the Hopkins Depot.  Bring your allowance if you want a treat.

Friday, April 28th, 9am for newbies: Not an independent rider?   This is your chance to try out one of our bikes and join us on a 10am ride to Lake of the Isles, a total of 5-7 miles roundtrip.  Meet at the Bike Shack. Please RSVP!
Lilac Park is located next to the Pedal and Roll Bike Shack at
Extra Space Storage, 5051 Highway 7, St Louis Park, MN.

The Greenway is a 5.5-mile long former railroad corridor in south Minneapolis with bicycling and walking trails.  It is owned by the Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority and the trails are maintained by the City of Minneapolis. The Greenway was named the best urban bike trail in the US.

To the west, the Greenway connects with paths around the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes and the Southwest LRT Trail extending to the western suburbs. To the east, the Greenway connects with paths along the Mississippi River.
